ONE AUTUMN DAY AT THE BEACH.

Need I say more?

I put everything aside for a last trip of the year to the beach. Who could blame me, with the air temperature 89 degrees and the water 69 degrees! That's like bath water for us. Lake Michigan rarely gets warmer, even in the middle of summer! The kids had a great time too. There were hundreds of people sunning themselves, playing beach volley ball, flying kites, swimming, and boating. Unbelievable!

I SO would have been in that water! Great pix- especially "grandson on the rocks"- or "in-between the rocks"! Cute!

I've never been to any of the Great Lakes, but I sure do love that red lighthouse!

I love the photos. It was a beautiful day (but not for a marathon)

A picture's worth a thousand words - so you gave us several thousands words - and I'm left speechless. :)

Just found your blog.. love the beach pictures!
We experienced the Chicago thing last Sunday.
We were planning to run the Grand Rapids Marathon in 3 weeks.. and just discovered the Lake Michigan ferries will be shut down already by that time. Can't make the drive all the way around. Sure looks like a great race. wondered if you are running there.
