TRYING NOT TO WORRY.

Too much, that is. With the stock market tanking out day after day it seems, I'm afraid this will be me one day, working well into old age, to make up for the losses I (and everyone else) is facing. One more reason to keep up with the running, pushups, core work, etc. to (hopefully) live a long and healthy life. I don't want to have to go through old age and be dependent on anyone. I have a feeling I'm going to be working a loooong time.

These times we live in are definitely scary. It seems like everyday just gets worse and worse. Fingers crossed!

And definitely keep on running!

I've often said that I'd probably work forever, at least part time, to keep sharp and make sure I don't fall into a slump. But I really wanted it to by my choice and not a necessity :(

You know, Vickie, you're the first running blogger I've read that even mentions the current economic turmoil. Let's hope there is still a job for both of us in "old age." (And smile, because it can't stay this bad for too too long.)

I hear you. Let's hope the markets bottom out soon.

You say it well!!
We are starting to think in terms of a long frugal time.
Bought a couple of space heaters and will turn the whole house furnace way down.
Can't quit buying organic dairy and some fruits & vegetables though because cancer is a worry.
Best wishes.

I agree and this happened when I was thinking to retire in few years (january 2012) ... and now?
Is it late to become a professional runner?
