LIFE AFTER IDOL.
I hate to admit it, but this year I got hooked on watching American Idol. Now that its over for the year and the winner has been announced, you'd think I'd be totally without a focus, or be lacking something to do on my Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Or be in total Idol withdrawal. But no, its better than that! This week, and without Idol, I am starting my half IM training in full force.
And its a good thing I don't have Idol to bog me down. This week started "two a day" workouts. Its the only way I can get all the training in and be consistent as well. But I'm pacing myself too.
Monday was a run and swim; Tuesday weights and bike; Wednesday run and swim; and this morning it was 45 min. on the trainer. I have a graduation to attend tonight, so it was the solution to getting in another bike workout. I will do my weights at lunch time. And I'm finding the trainer perfectly acceptable and as good as or a better workout than riding outside.
One thing I will say: I'm tired at night. No staying up watching any TV for me for a while!

Good workout!
I only watched the very last episode of AI this season...both of those little guys were cuties :)
Jeff and I were talking the other night about how we don't watch as much TV as we used to. I guess that's a good thing.
I have that issue too.... it's so hard to watch anything on telly because by 8 p.m. my brain is just fried and half asleep :-).
Happy training!!! See you Sunday!
I LOVE AI! Well, you can always get hooked on "So You Think You Can Dance" now. It is on several nights a week and almost as good.
:)
I wouldn't have described you as "bogged down" ... I am inspired and in awe of your energy.
Two-a-days are a good way to sleep well!
(Unless you get overly tired, like I have been lately! Blah!)
I Loved Idol too...I guess you can always switch to "So you think you can dance"!
Oh..SW TRigal said that already! (Keep up, Cheryl!) :-0
It's amazing how quickly the TV voids are filled, isn't it? Good luck with the IM training. Two-a-days are very time-consuming.
So You Think You Can Dance is my downfall...I love it!
Okay, so here is what's up so far. I start Half training Thursday. I was going to teach the class, but now I'm a pace person (easier for me right now), target race Toronto half. Haven't registered yet....but will let you know as soon as I have a few more details.....this could happen!!
I'll keep you posted, Woooo Hoooo!!!
