Thanks also for calling his doctors personally. The doctor I worked for hated it when he'd read about the death of one of his patients in the newspaper, and no one told him. Amazing how often that happens. Thank you for telling them yourself!!! They appreciated that.Ellie Hamiltonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03592691217213028495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21068000.post-48400482711784908532007-03-05T21:37:00.000-05:002007-03-05T21:37:00.000-05:00Hang in there. Sure, we might've done things differently if we had known X, Y, or Z. But we didn't. Hindsight is fantastic, but knowing now doesn't mean we should've known then.

Go for a run and remember the good times. And remember that your dad was human, you're human, and so are we all.Ann (bunnygirl)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04938134750150653386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21068000.post-23289491512670651012007-03-03T19:19:00.000-05:002007-03-03T19:19:00.000-05:00Glad to hear you are doing OK...it's nice to hear ...Glad to hear you are doing OK...it's nice to hear old stories about him and his old friends I bet. It was hard for my husband's dad when he moved here as he left all his old routines/friends back in Oregon and did the same thing your dad did...tried to establish new connections.
He really never did and that's one thing I wish I would have helped out with more.
Thinking of you always!
CherylFe-ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07986479866903093934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21068000.post-29542264969731827502007-03-03T12:35:00.000-05:002007-03-03T12:35:00.000-05:00Glad to hear you're doing okay. My mom passed away while I was in Africa and things had been a little strained between us over something that happened. I kicked myself for a long time. If only I had stopped on my way to Africa to visit; I should have called more, visited more; I should have been a better daughter; blah, blah,... I finally took comfort in the fact that see knew I loved her and she knew who I was and accepted me warts and all. Just be thankful you had as much time as you had with him. As we all know, life is way too short. I look forward to your regular postings again :)Flohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03178703086017106765noreply@blogger.com
